As we have been closely involved with the installation of the water injection system on this car, we can tell you of our experiences, it not as simple as it seemed. The original aim was to safely run 91 octane (95 RON) instead of more expensive 93 octane (98 RON) fuel. |

...He get's bored easily and with his engineering background, began to modify the car. The Manta is Turbocharged/ Fuel injected/ Water injected/Nitrous Oxide injected/is fitted with an anti-lag/launch control.........bhp is over 250 and torque is over 275 ft/lb. Top speed is 152 mph. It redlines in 5th @ 6250 revs/min. Oh! and yes, you have seen it in several of the car mags. February '99 |

 This machine was built by Ford, who?... but turned freelance at the age of 3, it never looked back since, not that it wanted to... Power is approx. 500+ BHP, quarter: 11.88s @128! I think the power was under stated. Comes with original interiors, fully equipped to carry four passengers, spare pants are recommended. |

Opel imported the 2-litre Manta to England in 1983, from then a bunch of people decided that more power is needed, so a 3-litre and an Albrex supercharger is shoe horned into the engine bay. Approximated 250hp was on-tap. |
