INTRODUCTION The manifold was designed to operate in conjunction with our new highspeed valve so water line pressure can be kept constant during different injection rates. It can also be used on applications where the user can set the water line pressure so that the overall flow rate can be tailored for their needs. MINIATURE SIZE Unlike the system2s manifold block, the body size is reduced to a minimum so that it can be mounted in small confined spaces. FLOW RATE MONITORING High level competition cars requires real-time monitoring of the systems performance. The manifold is specially configured so that the flow rate of the system is directly proportional to the electrical output singnal. The signal can also be used to detect loss of water, block jet and cut-pipe conditions. WATER PRESSURE GAUGE There is a spare 1/8" BSP port on the manifold (blanked) for remote gauge connection or pressure transducer from data acquistion systems. WHO USES IT? This manifold + the High Speed Valve is designed for high level competition use where the user can map the water injection curve via their ECU. HOW TO INTERFACE IT? We have made a simple sketch below (I hope it is legible), the valve is used in conjunction with our pump and a simple manifold assembly. For more advance users, diagnostic signals can be extracted by using either a spare analogue or digital input from the ECU. |
