While we remain Kansas City's exclusive SAAB dealership, our service department is experts with almost all makes of vehicles. My brother Terry continues to specialize in classic exotics. A stroll through the back shop will often be an encounter with Rolls Royce, classic Ferrari, Morgan, even Muscle cars from a previous generation. We have gained a wealth of experience as a long time builder and sponsor of racecars. Our work with Aquamist and technology to boost effectiveness of turbocharged engines has earned George's Imports Ltd. worldwide recognition. In short we are committed to service all of your vehicle needs regardless of make.

SALES
Our sales experience will not change. Located just South of the Country Club Plaza, many of our customers can afford to drive anything they want. Often they choose George's Imports Ltd. because we remain committed to providing an exceptionally stress free sales experience. Unlike dealers with after-the-sale "Doc Fees" running $400 or more, we do not charge for paperwork. We do not have a finance and insurance salesperson, marking up financing and warranties while continuing to sell aftermarket products. Our commitment to you is straight talk about products that sell themselves.

GM and SAAB
Svenska Aero Aktiebolaget(SAAB), was established in Trollhättan to build an aircraft to defend Sweden's neutrality in 1937. After WWII the decision was made to use SAAB design and engineering abilities to build automobiles. SAAB remains an essential part of Sweden's national pride. General Motors entered into a joint venture with SAAB in 1990 and took control a decade later. SAAB, rich in engineering and design talent has never been the volume brand that GM understood and wanted. Now in these difficult times for General Motors it is possible that brands must be sold as GM attempts to slim down and reduce their footprint. There are plenty of potential buyers for SAAB, but it is a valuable brand that General Motors will not give up without significant compensation.

SWEDEN'S PRIDE
Sweden relies on its automobile industry. They understand the value of this manufacturing base to the overall economy. Sweden has unique values that identify its automobile engineering. Environmental and safety are compelling motivations for SAAB designers. That is why you will find many safety features made their debut in SAAB vehicles. Sweden is fully committed to their automobile industry. In December 2008 they announced a $3.2 Billion investment. Obviously failure is not an option.

Even before we became Kansas City's exclusive SAAB dealer 32 years ago, customers knew the automotive experience at George's Imports Ltd was unique. The commitment to our customers and their vehicles are legendary going all the way back to 1964 when my father owned an authorized Citroen Dealership. When Citroen withdrew from the US market we continued to service Citroen, Peugeot, Alpha Romeo and other orphan foreign brands.
